The Shepherd’s Staff is a non-denominational Christian outreach and support center, serving those in crisis in Carroll County, Maryland.  We are 100% donor funded.  Our mini Mission Statement is:  We are a Beacon of Hope, Empowering Change and Transforming Lives.  We strive daily to live this Mission.

We are called to serve those in crisis in our community.  When a guest reaches out to us, the first thing we do is ask ourselves what it feels like to walk in their shoes; the next question we ask is how did they get where they are.  Knowing the answers to these questions allows us to help the individual in a compassionate and educated way.

We consider ourselves merely the hands and feet in this community.  We cannot do what we do without the generosity of local businesses, churches, schools, civic organizations and individuals.  We are blessed to distribute and provide assistance for the folks that are struggling to make it.  Without the communities support, we’re not able to do what we do.  The ways we give back are too numerous to mention; to list just a few, we provide emergency financial assistance like car repairs, medical expenses, home repairs, help with work attire and educational certificates.  In addition our in-kind programs like our Back-to-School program that provides backpacks, school supplies, new shoes, etc. at the beginning of school year, our Blessings Closet that provides personal care essentials monthly, Call for Coats provides coats during the cold winter weather months, as well as Christmas stockings and Easter Baskets.  These programs free up funds for families to use for other things like groceries, medical bills, insurance, and transportation.

Our donors, sponsors, volunteers and our guests inspire us daily!  It is truly a blessing to walk side by side with each individual we are in contact with each day.  We are also inspired by the other nonprofits in our community as we each work together to assure our respective guests are made whole.  It takes a village.  And, Carroll County is a wonderful village indeed!

We are constantly looking at our programs and events to consistently meet the needs of an everchanging environment.

Jennifer Lleras

Owner of Carroll County Marketing Agency: Hampstead Marketing and Design. Jennifer has over 20 years of experience in Graphic Design and Marketing that she passes along to her small business clients.

My “why”, or the reason I do what I do, and love what I do, is a combination of my community and my drive to educate the community that small business is always better. I want to make marketing accessible to all small businesses because every business owner deserves a chance to succeed and grow.

I partner with one non-profit each year and provide them with free website design, graphic design, marketing and social media services. I also offer discounted services to farmers, artists, veterans, and teachers.

I am inspired in my life mostly by women artists in history. I look up to many of them and hold that history in my heart as they paved the way for women like me to go to college and be respected in the art community. Mary Cassatt, O’Keeffee, Savage, Kahlo, Judy Chicago, and so many more.

I am constantly working on myself and my craft, right now, although busy, I am taking time to stay on top of the current marketing trends. I also stay certified in several platforms that alow me to expertly navigate the marketing needs of my many clients.

TruSynergy empowers women and organizations to move barriers to be their best. We celebrate people for who they are as individuals, embrace where they are in their current life’s journey, and support their goals to get to an even better version of themselves. https://trusynergy.org/

I love to connect with women and organizations who are ready to move fear, doubt and the status quo aside in order to create the best version of themselves.

I use my individual and group coaching programs, workshops, speaking engagements, and other social media outlets to encourage my audience
to create their best life and live it to the fullest. And, I have developed programs and strategies to address challenges in the workplace, navigating organizations to be dynamic, diverse and driven to focus on the human experience, not just the bottom line. I have served as moderator and panelist for the 2018 and 2019 Women’s Leadership Forum hosted by Maryland Public Television (MPT) and serves as co-host for MPT pledge drives.

As a result of my personal and professional development coaching programs, my clients are able to identify the barriers that get in the
way of achieving their goals.

I have released two books:
Pathway to Purpose and I’m Here. Now What?: Finding Joy After the Storm: Find It. Follow It. Fulfill It.  Both are available on Amazon.
